Moving Your Products from Another Store (Shopify / WooCommerce / EasyOrders)

⚠️ Important correction from the store owner: the migration process is fully self-serve from the dashboard (not handled by the TakeTheme team), but it migrates products only — categories must be created manually by the merchant first. The content below was written and its step order corrected based on the real flow we tested in the dashboard.
🔧 Steps to move your products from another store
Before importing, create the Categories for your products manually — because the import process migrates products only and doesn't create categories automatically. From the sidebar, go to Products → Categories, then click Add category for each category you need.
After creating the categories, go to the Products page, and click the Import button at the top right of the page.
In the import window, choose External Provider to move your products from a platform you're already using (not Our Template, which is for a new Excel file in TakeTheme's format).
Choose the platform your current store runs on: Shopify or WooCommerce (upload a CSV export file from your old store), or EasyOrders (enter the API key from your EasyOrders dashboard).
After uploading the file or entering the key, the import process starts automatically, and the migrated products appear on the Products page once it's complete.
💡 Important: this method migrates product data (name, price, quantity, images, etc.) only. Orders, customers, and categories are not migrated automatically — after importing, link each product to the appropriate category you created in the first step.
💡 The Migration Tool is available only on the Pro and Scale plans — not available on the Launch plan. If your store is on Launch, you'll need to upgrade your plan first to use External Provider. (We confirmed this directly from the plan comparison page in Settings → Billing.)

Are my product categories migrated automatically from my old store?
No, the current import process migrates products only. Create categories manually from Products → Categories before importing, then link each product to its category after the migration is complete.
Can orders or customer data be migrated from my old store?
No, the External Provider option is currently for store products only. Orders and customer data are not migrated this way.
My platform isn't listed (not Shopify, WooCommerce, or EasyOrders) — can my products still be migrated?
You can use the "Our Template" option from the same import window, fill in TakeTheme's ready-made Excel file with your products manually, then upload it to import all your products at once.
