⏱️ How long migration takes and what to expect
The time it takes to migrate your products to TakeTheme depends mainly on the number of products you're migrating and the migration method (CSV file vs. direct API connection).
After uploading the import file or entering the API key, the migration process starts immediately and runs in the background, with no need to stay on the same page.
You can track the progress of the import from the Orders → Export jobs page or from a direct notification in the dashboard once the process is complete.
After the migration is complete, your products will appear directly on the Products page — review them to confirm the accuracy of prices, quantities, and images before linking them to categories.
💡 For a store with a small or medium number of products (under a few hundred), the import process usually takes anywhere from a few minutes to about an hour. Very large stores (thousands of products) may take longer — if you need an exact estimate for your store's size, contact the TakeTheme support team.

Yes, you can complete the rest of your store settings (payment, shipping, design) while you wait for the product migration to finish.
