How to handle partial order fulfillment and track pending orders.

🔍 Is there a separate "partial order" status in TakeTheme?

We reviewed every available order filter option in the dashboard in detail (Status, Payment status, Fulfillment status, Delivery status), and found no separate value called "Partial" in any of them. The actually available values are:

Status: Open / Cancelled.
Payment status: Unpaid / Authorized / Paid.
Fulfillment status: Unfulfilled / Fulfilled / Removed.

🔧 How to actually handle partial orders?

Despite there being no separate "partial" status at the overall order level, TakeTheme does support partial fulfillment at the item level: you can ship part of an order's products now and the rest later if stock isn't enough or shipping will happen in two batches.

Open the order details, and click Fulfill item.

On the fulfill item page, you'll find an editable quantity field next to each product (for example, "2 of 2"). Lower the number if you want to ship only part of the quantity now.

Save — only the quantity you shipped is recorded as fulfilled, and the rest stays showing on the order as "Unfulfilled" until you carry out another fulfillment for the remaining quantity.
💡 So in practice: an order that's only partly fulfilled stays showing a fulfillment status of "Unfulfilled" in the main list, rather than switching to a separate status called "Partial" — you'll find the exact details of what's shipped and what's left inside the order page itself.

💬 Pending orders

A "pending order" isn't a separate official term in TakeTheme — it usually refers to any order still in an Unpaid or Unfulfilled status, meaning it still needs an action from you (collecting payment or shipping). Use the filter panel (Filter → Payment status / Fulfillment status) to easily view and track these orders.

Is there an order status called "Partial" I can filter by?

No, we didn't find a separate value with this name in any of the filter options. Partial fulfillment happens at the quantity level within the fulfill item page itself.

How do I find orders that need payment collection?

From Filter orders → Payment status → Unpaid, you'll see every order that hasn't had its payment collected yet.

If I ship half an order, does the customer get two separate notifications?

This depends on the order notification settings you have enabled — see the "Customer order notifications" article for details on channels and timing.
