🔧 Steps to import products via an Excel file

From the Products page, click Import, then choose Custom template (instead of External Provider, which is for migrating from another platform).

Click Download next to "Download template" to download an empty Excel file with the exact required format and columns.

Open the file you downloaded and fill in your product data (name, price, quantity, description, etc.) row by row according to the ready-made columns, then save it.

Go back to the import window and drag the filled-in file into the upload area, or click Choose file and select it from your device.

After uploading, processing begins automatically, and the imported products appear on the Products page once it's complete.
💡 Sticking exactly to the downloaded template's format (column names and order) is essential — any change to the file's structure can cause the import to fail or import incomplete data.
❓ Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between importing with "Custom template" and "Another platform"?
"Custom template" is a TakeTheme-format Excel file you fill in manually from scratch, while "Another platform" is for migrating your products from an existing Shopify, WooCommerce, or EasyOrders store (see the "Migrating your products from another store" article).
Can I import updates to existing products using the same file?
The template is designed primarily for importing new products — to edit existing products, it's better to edit them directly from the product page or via bulk editing.
Does the import also upload product images?
The template covers the product's text and numeric data; check the actual columns in the file after downloading it to confirm whether image links are supported.
