🔧 Cancelling your subscription step by step
1
From the Billing page, click Change plan, and scroll down to the Cancel subscription section.
2
You'll find a red Cancel plan button with explanatory text: your store will remain running until the end of the current billing cycle, and the remaining balance (like extra marketing credit) is forfeited at the end of the cycle.
3
Before you cancel, export or save any important data you'll need later (product lists, sales reports, customer data) — check the "Exporting and Sharing Reports" article and the order and customer export articles in the same help center for details on each export.
⚠️ Verification note: We did not find a single, comprehensive "Export all my data" button within the cancellation page itself. Data export in TakeTheme is available separately from each section (order export, customer export, product export via CSV, report export), so it's recommended to do all these exports before clicking the cancel button.
💡 After cancellation and the cycle ending, we haven't directly verified whether your data remains saved for a reactivation grace period, or is permanently deleted — to be sure before making a cancellation decision, contact TakeTheme support and explicitly ask about the data retention policy after subscription cancellation.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Is cancellation immediate, or does it wait until the end of the cycle?
Based on the text shown, your store keeps running until the end of the current paid cycle, and cancellation only prevents automatic renewal for the next cycle — it's not an immediate service cutoff.
Can I bring my subscription back after cancelling?
You're expected to be able to choose a new plan and pay again at any time from the same Change plan page, but we haven't verified what happens to your data after a service interruption period — see the note above.
