🔧 Steps to enable and manage cash on delivery (COD)
From store settings, choose Payment gateways, you'll find a Cash on delivery card among the available gateways — enable it with the toggle next to it.
After enabling it, set the usage limits: the Maximum order value (above this amount, the cash on delivery option automatically disappears from the checkout page), and Additional collection fee you can add to orders paid in cash.
At the order level itself, open any cash-on-delivery order from Orders — you'll find two buttons: Collect payment to record cash receipt manually, and Send invoice if you want to send the customer an alternative electronic payment link.
💡 Cash on delivery orders stay in an "Unpaid" status until you record the collection manually yourself — the system doesn't confirm cash receipt automatically because it happens outside the platform at the time of delivery.

What happens if an order exceeds the maximum order value?
