🔧 Steps to process an order and update its status
Open the order from Orders to track its two separate statuses at the top of the page: fulfillment status (Unfulfilled) and payment status (Unpaid).
To fulfill an item, click Fulfill item next to the product — its status changes to fulfilled, and the customer automatically receives a tracking notification.
You can also print a packing slip for each item before shipping by clicking Print packing slips.
If payment is still pending, use Send invoice to send a payment invoice to the customer, or Collect payment to record payment collection manually directly from the dashboard.
From the More actions button at the top right of the page, you'll find additional actions like syncing the order with the shipping carrier, cancelling the order, archiving it, or opening the order tracking page as the customer sees it.
💡 The overall order status (Open / Closed) changes automatically based on the fulfillment and payment statuses together — it's not a field you edit manually and directly.

What's the difference between fulfillment status and payment status?
Fulfillment status tracks whether the product has been prepared and shipped to the customer or not, and payment status tracks whether the order value has been collected or not — the two are independent of each other and can change at different times.
Is there an automatic notification to the customer when I fulfill an item?
Yes, as soon as you click Fulfill item, the customer automatically receives an email with the shipping details and tracking number.
What's the difference between Send invoice and Collect payment?
Send invoice sends the customer a payment link they complete themselves, while Collect payment is used when you've already received payment another way (like cash on delivery) and want to record it manually in the system.
